COLD

I think I'm catching a cold right now...or at least having a hell big fight against a group of small guys in my body. I'll give my body better fighting position by laying down in my bed. Also energy consumption caused by brains will be lowered to minimum by watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2. So, adventures from last weekend's rock party will be updated after kicking some microbe ass!! (think they got some head start on this fight when I worked in the lab 12 hours yesterday and today...)

Japanese kebab burger

Almost week since last update. Oh, actually full week, day just changed in this side of the globe. Hmmm, what I have been doing since...ah, same as every week: research, judo, research, studying japanese, research, sleeping, and research. Also my new hobby is watching 24, Prison Break, and Lost from my computer (not good for night sleeps though).

Weekend was more quiet than normally. No parties and the worst thing was that Saturday's judo training was cancelled. Because of weekend with too much sleep and no training, the last
Monday was one of the worst so far. My mind (and body:) really needs all weekly training sessions to empty it for a moment. I think it works even better than sake... ;P

But the Monday is behind and right now this boy is FULL of ENERGY. It may have something to do with today's judo training where I got a nice beat up from black belt japanese judoka (smaller than me, naturally). But definitely it is related to the fact that, got my own judogi finally!!! Below you can see a picture from it. happy, happy, happy, happy, happy me. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Heehee, todays best invention I encountered. Looks like a hamburger, meat similar to kebab and the "bread"-part made from boiled rice. Innovative combination indeed, and taste was good...ten points and a sticker.

Ooooh, with this kind of uniform my martial art career started many many years ago...at that time this big boy was still small. ;)

My name is stiched in japanese katakana-letters on belt, pants and jacket. :D

Birthday party

Now the writer of this blog is physically 26 and mentally 16 years old...like some "old" wise person said on that day. Monday was a public holiday here and also my birthday so there wasn't any other option for Sunday than CELEBRATE. Here you have few pictures out of 110 which got trough the hard censorship.

How happy can boy be in his birthday when his presents are katana and sake!?

Guys from the lab, get use to them, you'll be seeing them many times during the following years. :P Thanks guys helping in organizing the party and especially disposing of souchu and nihonshu.

Great! Fujita and Janny could join also.

Part of the team-Finland. I counted that there were totally 8 Finns in that evening. Next year we'll have to beat that record. Right? ;)

Sorry Souchirou, forgot the names of your beautiful friends...

PARTY ON!

HE-hey!

Oooouuu...and the party is already over.

This view makes me smile every morning when get up. Kiitos Äiti ja isi sika mageest synttärilahjasta.

And so does the journey of life continue towards new experiences and adventures ;D

TBN 3

Once again time to drag my antic sony to the night of Tokyo. Really should buy a smaller one...or maybe better not. ;D What to say, had lots and lots of fun like always exploring the night life of Tokyo. Got into really strange party, no wonder with Israel lol. Actually Israel was playing there as a DJ. Small cellar kept inside such a party that five Finns, French and Israeli didn't get any extra attention being only westerns inside. Better not to reveal more or your good night sleep could be history. Here some pics from that party.

Can you find all the Finns from the pic?

A privat party inside an another.

She was playing accordion and singing at the same time...in russian, not really but sounded like that.

Someone should change the dead bulbs...

shopping and judo

Fixed THREE holes from the back tire of my bike on last Wednesday night. Thanks to hint from my dad, I was also able to fix the problem with chains getting off all the time. So, everything fine with the bike? Nope. Thursday morning on my way to lab tire went flat ONCE AGAIN. I continued with empty tire to school. If I wouldn’t have been in a hurry to morning class, the dear “mama chari” would be in the bottom of the river…

Next class was cancelled so asked from our student office where could find cheap bike. They are always so helpful and they didn’t let me go before they had called all around Tokyo and Yokohama in order to find the cheapest bike. Finally I was walking to the train station the map to the shop in my pocket. One hour later I was bicycling back to school with my brand new “oritatami-bicycle” (bicycle which you can “fold” smaller and take in train...hopefully). It took me 50 min. to cycle back to school and I missed only 5 min. of my next lesson. My new beauty has 6 gears and nice looking appearance. Only problem is that it’s so small. But hey, it’s a perfect work out. ;)

Gym with two wheels.

Gas station in small space. :)

What else…? Oh yes, started a new old hobby. I put judogi (judo uniform) on me first time since I was 11 years old boy. Felt damn good. From now on there will be judo training at least once a week. Krav-maga I’ll do only in seminars every now and then. It’s way too expensive to go local (the only one in whole town) KM-gym once week to do push ups. Here at the school’s gym I can do it for free…twice a week.

Not only the training of judo is fun but the atmosphere in the dojo is so nice. Can you imagine, when I went there on Saturday afternoon just to meet the sensei (my tutor organized it day before after I was able to find the gym), he insisted me to join their evening training. But told him that I haven’t done judo for last 15 years and I don’t even have judogi. No problem, he promised to borrow one of his old ones and so I was practicing throws once again. Heehee, really got practicing ukemi when did some sparring in the end with young Japanese girl. Got lesson how the technique overcomes the power. :D
